We wish to inform you that many cases of water leakage through the consumers’ pipework installations have been reported lately. We remind you that the responsibility for maintaining and keeping the pipework beyond the water meter in good condition lies entirely with the consumers, who are also responsible for any relevant over consumption and proportional charge.

In order to prevent water being wasted and to avoid large bills consumers are urged to –

• frequently check the performance of their pipework and the readings recorded by the water meter, and
• have their plumbing installations from the water meter to the first supply point exposed, if possible, in order to locate promptly any leakage.
