Direct Debit Bill Payment - May 2014

Dear customers,

Consumers are advised to apply the system of automatic settlement of their water bill. By prompt settlement of bills, consumers avoid unnecessary trouble and expenses. We remind that if the bill remains outstanding after the last date of payment a surcharge of 10% will be imposed on the amount due.

After the implementation of the SEPA (Single European Payment Area) Direct Debit , the creation of Direct Debits for automatic payment can be done only at the Water Board’s offices with the presentation of the required documents as these are referred at our website (www.Ιwb.org.cy) under the heading FAQ’s (frequently asked questions).

New water-pricing policies

Dear Customers,

We wish to inform you that as of the next (third) quarter of 2013 the Water Board of Larnaka advances the adjustment of water rates in order to fully comply with the government water-pricing policies and the directions of the European Water Framework Directive. The new rates reflect the cost of the Board for the satisfaction of all categories of consumers, without allowing one use to subsidize the other, they provide corrections for the equalization of charges, irrespective of the size of each household, and they contain elements to discourage undue consumption and prevent wasting.
